DLI is supported in achieving its goals by three integral volunteer committees: Organization, Promotions, and Economic Development/Design. The description of each committee and its current members is listed below. Committees meet each month and when needed, depending on the nature of a project. If all of these committees work proficiently in tandem with the board of directors and staff, then downtown progress will certainly occur.

Economic Development/Design Committee

The Economic Development/Design Committee focuses on two prongs of downtown: the enhancement of the overall economic wellbeing of the downtown district and improving the experience of being downtown (visual and physical).

Examples of Committee activity include:
Economic Development – working with partners on large projects that make downtown more inviting and spur development, pursuing studies and data that assist economic development, developing business and building inventories, and addressing issues that affect economic wellbeing, to name a few.
Design – focus ranges from codes and ordinances, to landscaping and signage, enhancing public spaces, walkability, public art, and historic preservation.
