Become a MemberDowntown Lawrence Inc. (DLI) is a not-for-profit membership organization created in 1972 to promote the interests of the Downtown business district. DLI has a broad membership base, including retailers, eateries, drinking establishments, entertainment venues, service and professional, non-profits, and individual community members.
Membership Information
Members provide the foundation for marketing, events, advocacy, historic preservation, economic development and the enhancement of the general well-being of Downtown Lawrence. In addition, DLI Members receive a variety of benefits.

- Website representation with logo, social media links, business description and contact information.
- Business and downtown marketing on DLI’s social media platforms. Facebook page has 39K followers; Instagram has 19K followers.
- Business special promotions in Weekly Events Eblast with 2,400-plus subscribers and 44% open rate.
- Marketing of downtown through traditional media (visitor guides, magazines, radio) and public relations.
